GOALS
To create a solid bridge archi-sculptural structure, which is distinguished by visual and constructive lightness, and elegance, softly wavy lines with lines and relief, inspired by poetry or fairy tales.To make the bridge fit into the existing environment, do not negate historical values, and offer a new quality.He would not escape his ease, but would give the feeling of ephemeral outside, and optical magic (created in accordance with the motifs of the Balts) moving inside.
Mind- arises from the idea of ​​Kaunas arc. The principles of curvature, arcticism, are used in the Middle Ages and in Gothic to find the key place in today’s conception, while the feeling of concension and space that emerges appeals to the creation of coziness.One of the inspirational components is the “Quietness” painting by M.K.Čiurlionis, which indirectly complements the semantics of the two-sided “motive” of the “eyes”, which is especially expressively intended to reveal the nightlife in a concentrated two points.The semantics of the word bridge-bridge, which recognizes the term “zero”, is the key to the creation of mood, the entire second floor of the bridge is the possible length of the survey, as well as the location of the city’s peace of mind.The second floor does not even have a direct landing at the ends. Here, the bridges turn into resting areas – balconies that can accommodate attractive and unexpected villagers, such as – outdoor reading rooms, herbal remedies, playgrounds, outdoor cafes, sunset and sunset monuments, or other astounding spaces upstairs.It is also thought to be about the difference between the survival of straightness and bending of the movement, where, from the alignment of statics, frequent in urban pragmatic street and bridge solutions, it is invited to the dynamics and diversity of the hill and footstool.Plastics also take into account the existing pedestrian “arched” bridge to the island and the Čiurlionis name railroad bridge through Nemuma.An exceptional detail that creates the third, high water level, is the middle, accentuated 7-meter-high kyra-cylinder bridge support. Designed in conjunction with the entire plastic bridge and the idea of ​​doubling the bridge of Vytautas Magnus. Likewise, it becomes an attractive, mysterious island art piece that is passable, flooded and acts like a symbolic gateway.
ENVIRONMENTPaying attention to the natural and architectural landscape of Kaunas and seeking the coherence with the environment, Titus “I See You” is being developed. Visually, the bridge begins in response to an exclusive fire station and at the other end approaches Aleksotas hills.
STRUCTURE AND MEDIUM- Arctic-fermented (supported by two reinforced concrete supports on the banks and central of stainless polished steel / reinforced concrete on the island) using two arches on the top and one on the bottom (the latter bottom is supported in the middle structural support).This combined structure creates the maximum force, in which the classic arc and scales principle operates smoothly.The construction consists of a steel frame (galvanized steel painted white) and integrated into it two bases of glued wood (painted with a silver tint).The pedestrian movement takes place in the upper, open part of the structure, and the lower part of the bicycle is covered by a part.
As the structure is used on both levels, it does not require an additional vertical stiffening element (which greatly exaggerates the cross sections of the bridges). This design looks as easy as possible, while the use of longitudinal diamond construction aisles still enhances the lightness of the light.
MEASUREMENTSAlthough conditions are recommended, a total width of 7m is recommended, but in this proposal, much more rational and materially considerably save (about 30%), this construction should be 5m wide, because the offer for the separation of cycling and pedestrian levels is suggested.Construction height in section 5,20m; width 5,00m (or requirements 6-7m); total length of both parts 405,00m.The structure of the main Nemumo ravine is 25.00 meters (bottom 20.00 m), measured from the average water level.Above the narrow Nemus impulse, the design is 20,00 meters (bottom 15,00m) measured from the average water level.STEPThe construction is used on both levels.The pedestrian movement takes place in the upper, open part of the structure, and the lower part of the bicycle is covered by a part.Separation of the levels improves the freedom of movement of the movers and ensures greater safety of the users. Covered bicycle trail (for 2 rides, 1.5m wide and one 2m breath).On the upper floor without a pedestrian walkway, two terraces are additionally designed at the ends of the bridge.All climbing and descents on both bridge levels are formed by plinths (without stairs) which do not exceed 9%, which ensures universal design.
